Explore the region as our local guide takes us on a sunset tour, walking the Walls of China and exploring the arid landscape which is the oldest known site of human occupation in the southern hemisphere. Scientists have discovered artefacts in this area dating back to over 50,000 years old.

Port Lincoln

Spend two days discovering Port Lincoln on your own personalised guided tour with Australian Coastal Safaris. Spend time exploring the marina - home to the largest fishing fleet in the Southern Hemisphere. Experience delectable seafood straight from the ocean with your very own seafood Master Class with renowned Chef, Kris Bunder. Kangaroo Island

Mungo National Park

Our Journey begins in the morning in Sydney (Bankstown Aerodrome). We board our private aircraft and set course for the west – towards Mungo National Park. We fly over this unique landscape – home to the Mungo Man and Woman, rich in Indigenous history. We arrive for lunch at Mungo Lodge to begin our Outback adventure.

The afternoon is yours to unwind or to choose from a variety of short walks to explore this spectacular area with immense cultural significance. This evening, our local guide will take us on a sunset tour, walking the iconic Walls of China, where scientists have discovered artefacts dating back over 50,000 years.

Port Lincoln

Enjoy the natural splendour of an Outback sunrise before flying toward the Spencer Gulf. We land at stunning Coffin Bay, home to a smorgasbord of seafood and world class oysters. We will be met by our personal Australian Coastal Safaris guide who invites us to a seafood lunch at the 1802 Oyster Bar. This afternoon we enjoy a cruise of the Bay and an oyster experience, followed by a coastal walk in Coffin Bay National Park.

Watch the sunset from your private balcony at the Port Lincoln Hotel – overlooking the stunning Boston Bay or enjoy sipping cocktails poolside.

Port Lincoln - Day 2

Today is the second part of our tour with Australian Coastal Safaris. Explore stunning Port Lincoln, nestled on the shores of beautiful Boston Bay, and learn about the city’s discovery and history. Savour the tastes of the “Seafood Capital of Australia”, sampling the freshest seafood of the region. Enjoy sundowners amongst the koalas at Mikkira Station, before indulging in a private masterclass dinner with renowned chef, Kris Bunder.

This morning we fly across The Spencer Gulf to discover dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife at our next superb destination, Kangaroo Island. Enjoy the scenery from the aircraft window as we fly over the privately owned Thistle Island and Wedge Island.

Kangaroo Island - Day 2

Kangaroo Island - Day 3

This full day tour explores Kangaroo Island’s west end, including fire ecology, a private wildlife refuge, wildlife encounters, an elegant picnic and the iconic Flinders Chase National Park.

After a day of exploring the Island, we make our way to the ‘Gastronomo – Wilderness Dining’ restaurant to enjoy a truly unique dining experience. Tonight we enjoy the restaurant’s iconic ‘The Feast’ dinner, described as “a progressive dining adventure inspired by the stars, ancient cooking techniques, and a few stories to be told…”

Coonawarra

This morning we farewell Kangaroo Island and head east to our next destination – Coonawarra. Enjoy the scenery from the aircraft window as we fly along the coast of the Southern Ocean to Goolwa and head south. Keep a look out for the rolling vineyards and lush landscape as we make our way inland towards Coonawarra.

Albury and Sydney

Enjoy breakfast at Coonawarra before we begin our journey homeward bound.  Enjoy the view as we fly across rich agricultural land passing to the North of Bendigo and overflying Shepparton. We arrive in Albury for a farewell lunch in town. Watch for beautiful sights such as Tumut and the Southern Highlands as we make our approach into Bankstown. We leave you here with memories to last a lifetime. Thank you for joining us on this spectacular journey.

Transportation: Our Cessna 208B Grand Caravan fits up to 13 passengers and allows for comfort and viewing vantage points for all of our passengers. We are able to land at remote and private airfields which means that you are closer to the Outback action. Most of the places we visit are in very close proximity to the airport and ground transport from the airport to accommodation and excursion locations is included. We try to make the most of your time whilst on tour by flying direct to our destinations and minimising ground transport time where possible, so you can enjoy the views and the serenity that the Outback offers.
