The Lake Eyre Extraordinaire

Our crew welcome you at Bankstown Airport (Sydney) before departing on this exciting Lake Eyre adventure. Our hand crafted itinerary will create lifelong memories with the rare opportunity to see Kati Thanda filling with water. Take in the aerial views from our private aircraft before a short stop in Griffith for morning tea. We sweep further west to the mining city, Broken Hill, where we visit the interactive museum of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Explore Silverton, made famous by the Mad Max movies and watch the sun turn golden amongst sandstone desert sculptures.

Take in sweeping natural vistas as our flightpath takes us over Lake Frome, one of the whitest salt lakes in the world. You can’t miss the mysterious Marree Man. Spanning 3.5 kms this modern geoglyph is visible from Space! Witness the vast, usually dry salt pans of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre.This evening we enjoy true Outback hospitality with drinks and dinner at the authentic bush pub, The William Creek Hotel. This pub, on the famous Oodnadatta Track, is loved by travellers from all around the world.

We rejoin our private aircraft, flying over the northern part of the lake. Witness the different colours and textures of this dramatic landscape. Marvel as we cross the rugged Flinders Ranges, before landing at Tibooburra in Corner Country for lunch. You cannot miss the extraordinary Clifton Pugh mural in the bar of the Family Hotel.
The next leg of our journey finds us at Shindy’s Inn, Louth on the banks of the majestic Darling River. We swap our wings for wheels as we take a dirt track to Trilby Station – a 320,000 acre working sheep property. We will be hosted by the owners of Trilby, The Murray Family, gaining insight into life on a remote sheep station. This overnight stop focuses on offering the true Australian Outback station experience. Immerse yourself in the landscape, appreciating a bush sunset with drinks before enjoying a home cooked dinner, under a starlit sky.

Wake up to an Outback sunrise and enjoy a country cooked breakfast. Those who wish to immerse themselves in nature and the peaceful surroundings can take advantage of Trilby’s 10kms of walking tracks along the banks of The Darling. Guests will have an opportunity to ask questions about station life as Liz Murray takes us on a walking tour, encompassing the state of the art shearing shed and the impressive aircraft hanger.
Back aboard Foxtrot Tango Tango, we take off for the short flight up The Darling to the bush town of Bourke. Discover the incredible history of this back country at the Exhibition Centre and enjoy a farewell lunch. Sink into your seat for our final flight back to Sydney, relaxing and enjoying the bird’s eye view.
